What it costs to hire through Remote Hero
Most full-time placements run between $1,500 and $3,500 a month, month to month. Direct hire, where the person goes on your own payroll, is a flat 25% of first-year salary charged once. Below is what each band covers and what moves a role inside it.
Publishing this is unusual in staffing, and that is rather the point. The most common thing we hear is that somebody else quoted less, and the reason is almost always how much of your money reaches the person doing the work.

Full-time placements. These are ranges, not fixed prices: where a role lands inside one depends on seniority, experience, specialization and how much the person is expected to own, and the ranges themselves move with the market.

Pricing questions
- How much does it cost to hire through Remote Hero?
- Most full-time placements run between $1,500 and $3,500 a month depending on the role. Administrative and support roles sit at $1,500 to $2,000, specialist roles such as executive assistant, sales, marketing and design at $1,800 to $2,500, developers at $1,800 to $3,000, and artificial intelligence or automation specialists from $2,000 to $3,500 and up. Direct hire is charged differently, at a flat 25% of first-year salary, once.
- What moves a role to the top or bottom of its range?
- Seniority, years of relevant experience, how specialized the work is, and how much you need the person to own without supervision. A role that runs a process end to end costs more than one that executes a defined task list.
- Are these prices fixed?
- No. They are current ranges rather than a price list, they vary with the specifics of your role, and they change as the market does. The number for your role comes out of the first call, and it is quoted before you commit to anything.
- What is included in the monthly rate?
- The search, the screening and background checks, the engagement and payment of the professional, and our support after they start. What is never included anywhere is the software you put the person in, or equipment if you choose to supply it.
- Is there a long-term contract?
- Contractor placements run month to month. That is the main reason companies choose this model over hiring an employee: less commitment and a lower upfront cost while you find out whether the role works.
- How much of what I pay reaches the worker?
- Most of it. Some firms in this industry pay the worker a small fraction of what they charge the client and keep a very large margin. We keep a smaller one, because our model is built on placements that last for years rather than on turnover. It is a fair question to ask any agency, and you should be suspicious of one that will not answer it.
