Nearshore staffing services for US and Canadian companies

Three ways to hire from Latin America and the Caribbean. We run the whole search, place one permanent person, or hand your recruiter a pipeline. Every candidate is screened for skills and spoken English before you see them, and they work your hours rather than handing work back overnight.

Which one is cheapest depends on how many people you are hiring and who employs them at the end. That comparison is below, followed by the roles we fill most.

Roles we fill most

Each page covers what the role actually does, what to screen for, and the pay next to a US hire.

We place 99 roles in total across technology, finance, marketing, operations, sales, support and administration. The full list with pay for each is in the salary guide.

Common questions

Which staffing service should I choose?
If you are filling one permanent seat, direct hire is usually the cheapest way in, because you pay once. If you are hiring several roles or hiring continuously, recruitment process outsourcing costs less per hire and carries the payment and compliance work. If you already have a recruiter and only lack candidates, resume sourcing is the narrow option.
How much does nearshore staffing cost?
Direct hire is a flat 25% of the first-year salary, charged once. Recruitment process outsourcing is a monthly fee that covers the placed person plus our service fee. Placed salaries themselves usually run 50 to 70 percent below the equivalent United States hire, and the full role-by-role figures are in our salary guide.
How long does it take to get candidates?
First candidates usually reach you 2 to 4 weeks after the first call, and sooner for administrative and support roles where the pipeline is deepest. Highly specialized engineering roles take longer.
What happens if the hire does not work out?
Direct hire placements carry a 30-day replacement guarantee. On recruitment process outsourcing we replace the person as part of the ongoing service.
How does the engagement actually work?
You sign one Master Services Agreement with Remote Hero. We engage and pay the professional, and they work directly with you as part of your team. They stay a contractor through us rather than becoming an employee of an employer of record, and that structure is the same whichever country they work from.
Can I hire the person permanently later?
Yes. If a contractor placement is working and you want that person as your own employee, we offer a buyout that transitions them onto your payroll. Plenty of clients start on the contractor model precisely because it leaves that door open.
What happens after the placement starts?
We stay involved. If there is a communication problem or a misunderstanding on either side, we step in and mediate rather than leaving you and the contractor to sort it out alone. That is one of the practical differences between hiring through us and hiring someone directly.
How long before a new hire is productive?
Plan for about two weeks of ramp-up. The company has to own that part: training, context, clear expectations, access to the right systems and consistent communication. Expecting someone to be at full speed in a few days is the most common mistake we see on a first hire.
